Hi all (this isnt a what mount do I need question by the way)

Been away for a while from the MTB scene and my pride and joy has been sitting about for 12 months untouched.

Ive been reading odd articles here and there and ive seen numerous warnings about torque levels on bolts and that the bolts NEED threadlocker.

I run Marz all mountain 2s (post mount) and Hayes 9 DH brakes

Ive normally just tightened my mount onto my forks pretty tightly and have done with it but should i really be loctiting all bolts and ensuring there at a Certain tension?

Cheers

Generally I always threadlock my disc rotor bolts and don't bother with the rest. I'd say keep an eye on it and if you find that they keep coming loose then threadlock em if they don't then I wouldn't bother.
The trail is long and my legs are burning but I can't stop smiling.

Disc rotor bolts will work loose unless they are loctited in. I would also torque them down, as you can cause damage by incorrectly tightening them (e.g. damaging the the threads in the hub)

Rotor bolts arent an issue as the were fitted by my LBS, Ive checked them a few times and they are not working loose, its my Calipers to mount & mount to forks i was mainly concerned about. Since my first post ive found my instructions for my brakes and it states 110 lbs which doesnt sound right at all so ive blut some 243 on the threads and nipped em up tight and having done with it :)
