8) Sweeeeet! 8)

Having trouble trying to figure out how to mount it to my helmet. It might end up being handlebar only until I do.

I removed the bracket from mine and strapped it to the side of my helmet so it hung down from the edge next to my ear.

I found if it stuck out at all it created an uncomfortable mass when I twisted my head, which I do a lot in London, especially down High Street Kensington!

Thats what I was planning to do was side mount it. I didnt want it too high up due to a couple of tunnels I sometimes have to go under - also low branches.

Yeah, don't side mount it using the mount, when you spin your head around it will keep going, you'll end up with your helmet on back to front, or your nose pointing backwards.

(dead jealous you got the 4Gb model though, mine's only two so if I want to get into work and capture the whole trip on high quality I've got to properly gun it, which increases the chances of me needing camera footage to conduct an insurance claim!)

Yeah but i do have 2 cheap 2gb cards. Doesnt really count I reckon.

Side mounting didnt work well, got it on but the camera ends up pointing out away from where the road will be. :? Cant get it on top despite trying several times.

It can be done, you have to strap it real tight with the short velco strap.

Good luck changing the cards round whilst you're moving!

I might figure something else out - got some bits of velcro around that might be more suitable. its not the camera, its the helmet thats the problem, lol. Big vents, less foam to grip on to.

I'll figure it out. Incidentally, just tried to film the biggest spider with the camera but it was too dark. He was a meaty beast! :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU8ojF5wANI just walking around the garden with the camera. Might go for a bike ride a litle later if I have some dry kit. :)

Argh! Having trouble with the accessories already. The little tripod socket has just come off on the tripod despite not over tightening and the helmet adapter simply will not go on my helmet with the velcro so thats out. Tried the handle bar adapter... again, doesnt fit my bike. This is annoying the hell out of me now. :(

If I had the money I'd buy a few cams and test them out myself.

I think I can make my own ring mount, got some things from when I was making pinhole 5x4 cameras - for example about 200 steel tripod sockets.
