Cycling Friendly Accommodation Amble/Warkworth area

Off for a gentle pootle from Newcastle to Edinburgh in September - plan is to stay near Amble 1st night, Berwick the second then Edinburgh on the third - have hostels sorted for Berwick and Edinburgh but wondered if anyone had any recommendations for the first night. Needs to be about 35/40 miles out of Newcastle, not too expensive and have room for 4 blokes - a few B&Bs seem to cater for couples so not too many twin rooms!
