Where were the Australians though? McGee was the silver medallist in Athens yet he was over 6 seconds down on the times he was recording back then? It doesn't bode well for their attempts to retain the Team Pursuit title.
He rather makes it look as though the rest of the world aren't trying doesn't he?

Was there a bit of kidology going on or was Wiggins actually struggling a bit?
At 2k, the NZ guy looked comfortable and still ahead and Wiggins had moth gaping open. Admittedly he picked speed up and won easily but did not look as comfortable as normal to me, maybe he is trying to kid the others for team pursuit
Wonder who will be the 4 for the team final?
Newton isn't in the team pursuit squad, as he made clear today after winning bronze in the points race. (Just thought I'd mention that!).
I'd imagine they'll start with the strongest four then rest a couple of riders for the first round before going back to full strength in the final (assuming they get there). I imagine only the coaches and the riders know the full strength team at the moment though.
WOW! Another WR, maybe it mght be broken again tomorrow...
For sure.
Wiggins will be there for whole ride and Thomas is looking very comfortable and strong and they will not loose time having to pass the other team as Denmarl should not loose 6 or 7 seconds which would see them caught.
