hi
just been fixing my rear mech and i flipped the bike back onto its wheels and and gave the brake levers a pull, and noticed that the front juicy 5 has lost power and makes a slushy sound. i looked closely at the lever body and noticed fluid bubbles are leaking out of a small hole near where the hose connects- this hole is meant to be there.
i also noticed that there is fluid leaking out from inbetween of the 2 bits of the lever body down a line that connects the 2 bits. im sorry i cant describe it in more detail. anyway, when i press and hold the lever fairly far back (but not under immence pressure) the fluid leaks out and eventually after about 15secs starts to run down the caliper body and drip off. the brakes are 6 months old and the juicy 5 is the '06 model.i got them from my lbs and dont have a clue what to do!!!!
please help asap!!!!!

sounds like a hole in the diaphragm and the hose connection."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Might be might not be.
it all depends on what is wrong."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

ive just booked it @ the lbs in so i guess ill av to wait and see.
i dont get how it happened though, i havnt crashed or knocked the hose, and i do brake aggressively but not crazily, anyway its not a low end brake so id expect it could cope. do you know what may have happened?Carbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0 -
