Blackburn Air Tower 4 Track Pump

I've got one of these Blackburn pumps, the problem I have is when I try to pump up Presta valves, it doesn't seem to work. I put the Presta Valve in fully but the air comes out of the Schraeder valve when I pump. So I can only pump Schraeder tubes up.

What am I doing wrong

    does this happen on empty tubes or part filled tubes?

    i have a similar issue where there needs to be some air in the tube first.

    It is a fault so i would be talking to the shop about a replacement.
