garmin etrex gps: displaying multiple tracks

Hi

I'm still struggling with my garmin etrex gps.

I used to be able to display multiple tracks on the map simultaeously with my postion centred on the screen. Now, even if I select "show on map" for multiple tracks it only shows one at a time (the last one I selected) and the map pointer not my position is centred. Someone suggested I cleared tracklogs but this hasn't helped.

Any ideas?

    Hi,

    It sounds to me as though you might be in the Tracks screen (showing only the Track that you last selected).

    Try switching to the Map screen.

    Hope that fixes it.

    oh?
    I didnt know about "tracks sceen" and "map screen" how do I switch between them?

    My gps is an old Garmin etrex vista. It probably works a bit different from yours, so I was just trying to suggest a solution. Certainly when mine is in its Tracks screen, it behaves in the way you describe.

    On mine, to get from one screen to another, I have to press the X button at top RHS of screen. I do this repeatedly until I get a drop down menu showing Satellite, Map etc, and I then select Map.

    Newer models will work in a different way I expect.
