Evenin all,
First post on here, and already Im looking for some help. I have a mint, 2003 S-Works Enduro complete with the factory fitted Fox Float RL rear shock. I havent used the bike much, and have not used it at all in 2 years. I have sent the shock off for a service and have asked for custom valving to be fitted. Now the embarrasing bit, Because of my wieght, (I'm 6'5" and 19 stone) the good folk at mojo have told me that the shock will be running at max pressure to adequetly support my weight. As I have previous to this only ever ridden hardtails, can someone please help me with a few things:
Mojo have suggested upgrading the shock to a coil shock rather than an air, allowing me better support of my current weight, and less pedal bob.
Can someone tell me the benefits of using a coil over using an air shock as every bike I see these days seem to have air shocks.
Is a coil shock suitable for a bit of mucking around, come xc?
Has anyone got any reviews on the suggested shock a DHX 5.0?
will uaing a coil shock have any effect on the current weight of my bike?
Will my current front fork be a suitable match? I have a 2004 Fox Talas RL
Sorry for the long first post but any help would be great as I am currently trying to decide if I keep the current shock or replace it.

First off what shocks did Mojo say would fit?
Looks like a DHX 5 could fit.
i2i and stroke would need to be the same and check that you can get springs of the weight needed.
But back to your shock. what pressure do you need to get a 20% sag?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Spoke to mojo who initially said an RP23? but said that the PSI would be up at the limits of the shock 300psi, so said a DHX. Ive just never heard of a coil on an Enduro before. Is it a good shock? Wanted some advice independent of the mojo sales team Cant find reviews for it either
Is that your bike? very similar to mine:
