Hi,

I'm new to Carp fishing and wondered if there was a reasonably priced carbon rod anyone would recommend?

I'm not sure that Carp are really deserving of a carbon rod.

You've misread the name of the forum - it's Road Beginners, not Rod Beginners  !

2.5lb tc is too much in my opinion unless your fishing for big carp, think about a 2lb or even 1.75lb tc

Are you a campag fan who has read the Shimano vs Compag thread and decided to be funny regarding shimano's fishing tackle??

Usual advice really. Narrow it down to a shortlist of about 3 or 4 and take them all for a test fish. There's no catch all solution to this sticky problem. maybe try them out in a few LBSs (local bait shops) and then if you're feeling stingy you can try and net a bargain on the web. Don't be lured in by fancy graphics, its all about the feel.
