Does anyone know whats happening with the XC routes at Rowney Warren (Chicksands) in Bedforshire? Since the FC have been in to do a lot of tree felling the routes seem to be a bit neglected with fallen trees and no go areas a plenty.

you can get round if you explore but there are some places and paths that bikers are not supposed to go down. Dont know how long until its properly back open - its already been "closed" several months.

You seem to have to know the way around anyway, the signage was very poor when I visited last year.

Only a few good singletrack bits, can't see the appeal myself - unless you're into freeriding too course.

The signs have never been great - hopefully that is something they will fix when they re-open the routes.
I like those routes because they are just the right length for my little cousin to do and for us to still be able to ride back across the lanes to his house after.
