Good mountain bike resort in the french alps?

Me and a few mates are thinking of going to the French alps next year to do some downhill, xc trail riding etc, (the stuff mountain biking is about!) and i would be very greatful if anyone knows a good resort to go to. thanks

Well, I went camping to Les Gets this year, and it was pretty good there. I'd have to say that the night-life looked better in Morzine though (which is a 10 minute drive away) Les Gets was pretty cool, but it looked like Morzine had more to offer.
In terms of riding, the whole area is excellent, it caters from relatively newcomer, to full on mentalists, especially when you factor in that you can easily travel between Les Gets, Morzine, Avorias, and Chatel, and a few other areas I can;t remember the names of, by chair lift.0 -
Try Jollygood.com in Morzine. As above, nightlife is better there, but riding in Les Gets is easily accessible.If it's not a Yeti, it's not worth riding!0
