Single Speed Tension Problem

Hi guys,
I recently converted my jump bike to single speed using a gusset 1er with an old tensioner as well. However when I fitted it all I was still getting a lot of slack in the chain and thought a half link might do the job?
However I have just seen the Gusset Slink Chain made of entirely half link chains:

. . .and wondered if this would better suit my cause?
Thanks for looking and any help would be great as I don't want to keep running round spending money I dont have!! (I only just bought a new chain - grrrr)

well a half link or a halflink chain will do the same thing.
the only difference is cost, Oh halflink chains seem to stretch faster."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Cool. Cheers.
So what you are saying is that half link chains are not reliable? Its just I have to buy a new chain anyway so a half link can fit on??0 -
You can normally fit a single half-link in a regular 1/8" singlespeed chain.0
