Firstly Hi to everybody,
have just started riding again after 25 years, ride to work every day whatever the weather and have started to ride across Dartmoor. Used to walk the tor’s now love to ride them. Just bought a Mongoose tyax comp put spd’s on it and love falling off LOL .

It's all go tonight!
Good bike, one of my favourite budget numbers: get rid of the SPDs though, and geta flat pedal! You'll enjoy it more, learn more, and if you want to get a SPD later on, you have good skills to carry on.0 -
Hii Supersonic started with the flats wore em out lol a mate gave me his SPDs tried e'm and like em but going to get a dual pedal so i can do with or without and cut down on the bruzzing.0

If you are happy, cool, keep going - I find the dual pdeals to be worse of both worlds though.
Practice makes perfect ;-)0 -
Used to ride moto cross and found the SPDs give me a nice fell of more control even more so on the slippery stuff and hills, getting better at the emergency pull out though lol. Think i may take your advise and stick with just the SPDs then.0

I'll never forget reading a write up of SPD back in about 1990 when we first got them .
The write up said " When you fall off , not if you fall off "
I laughed then , and I still laugh now . I cant tell you how many times I've been off . always the unclipped side !!!
Enjoy them, and enjoy riding .0 -
