Campag Vento wheels
I have just stripped (and potentially scrapped), my second Rear Campag Vento wheel.
The reason is that they were failing, 'snapping' and eventual complete failure when pressure is applied .Deathtrap.
The hubs are full of water, and so, the Pawl springs were rusted and disintegrated on touch.
Where can i buy Pawls/Springs or spares like that. I have campag part numbers.
Also, anyone else experienced this with these wheels which are clearly not up to the job on a winter trainer in Scotland.

I bought a pair about 3 years ago for a winter bike. They were trashed inside 5 months. I take care of my bike in winter, washing it after every wet ride.
Worst wheels I have ever had. Stupidly cheap though so to be expected.0 -
ive used the same set on my winter/commuter bike since 2004 with no problems at all
mind you scotland is a terrible place'dont forget lads, one evertonian is worth twenty kopites'0 -
Same here. Bought them cheap, fitted them on my winter bike because I could afford to abuse them, and they're still going strong. Completely reliable in my experience, although you need those flat Michelin tyre levers to remove the tyres!0
