My cyclocross bike currently has 32mm tyres on from when i did the end to end trip (needed something substantial for my panniers and fat backside for 930 miles). Now i commute 30 miles a day so they're still kinda useful but would like something a bit thinner. How much faster could i expect if i shift down to 25mms? Im currently averaging 15mph over the course of the week. Will my cornering also improve as a result?
Thanks :D

  • thats rather going to depend on how fast your present 32mm tires are. and what 25mm tires you put on, not all narrow tires are fast and not all wide are slow.

if your limited by grip on corners then unless the all things being equal your present 32mm should be faster.
