Fit Specialized 08 AFR shock to 04 Epic

Im looking at fitting a new 08 Specialized AFR rear shock to an 04 Epic which has the Fox Float R Brain shock fitted.
Three things:
Anyone done this?
Anyone offer any advice?
I need a new spherical bearing to fit the top eye of the shock arm, can anyone suggest a good supplier of sperical bearings?

if it were me id contact specialized aobut the bearing. and then about the shock.
