X-9 Shifter re-building?

Has anyone re-built a 2007 X-9 Shifter before? the front 3 speed one?
Was looking inside and checking the cable when the "back" side came off instead of the front where the gear cable goes.
It seems a right pain to put back together and what not with all the springs that need to be in the right place. Shall I ask the LBS for a hand or has someone succeeded before? Don't say I'll need to go further than that! Can't find any full drawings on SRAM site either unlike Hope do.
Almost had it tonight but had the cable in the wrong position and the lever wasn't springing back into place.
Think its a big cup of tea and a lot of patience tomorrow.
