front mech/chain rubbing

My front mech on my XTC which is a Shimano LX seems to rub on the chain when in the big chainring. It is alligned in the middle of the chain on the other two rings but not on the biggest one. How can I change this to move over?

If it helps if you were sitting on the bike the chain is rubbing on the right hand side of the mech.

You need to set the mech up a bit better. Park Tools has a guide.

Could be the mech is misaligned, the H stop is not screwed out enough, or you need a little more cable tension.
