after nearly 2 weeks of trying to get my new Conti MK`s (pro`s) to stay inflated with a Joes kit - I`m about to concede defeat. The tyre still deflates over 24hrs with small pinpricks of sealant coming through the sidewall. I`ve tried adding more sealant (c.200ml in a 2.2 tyre now) and am considering putting a tube in the tyre. Has anyone tried sealant in an inner tube ?

Obviously its a compromise but would be interested to know if it works

Ta,

Robin

You can buy tubes with sealant, and have heard of a few people adding it. Mixed results.

I had the same problem with the joes kit.I put it down to the tyres being to old.As you brake it adds stress to the sidewalls which is often why you can see the threads of the carcase showing.
The sealant isn't thick enough to block the holes as the rubber is also thinner in these places.
I've got a new set of tyres to try it with again when my current ones wear out.
Why not use your tubeless sealant in your inner tubes? Its the same stuff anyway and it works pretty well to
