Where's the best place to buy them online and would they be good for a Giant XTC 4.5?
I've seen the wire bead 27tpi version on eBay for £23 a pair but I've no idea what the wire bead or 27tpi version means?

Merlin are doing a pair of folding XC's WITH innertubes for £39.95 at the mo. The kevlar folders are lighter than the steel ones, IIRC.0

TPI is threads per inch in the way the tyre is constructed.0

What tyres are better, the firex xc pro or the fire xc kevlar?0

Fire XC Pro can be bought either steel bead or kevlar (folding).
Kevlar are better, much lighter, & easier to remove & fit.
Steel bead are cheaper (unless you can get a good offer!)Giant Defy 4 2014

When buying Panaracer tyres be wary that there are two qualities available. The OE version, distinguished by a small multi-coloured logo on the sidewall is the lower TPI version, less durable, and less desirable (but cheaper!). The version to go for is the 120TPI version with the large all-white logo.0
