2008 Mavic Kysrium Equipe, black. Only done 100 miles, No cassette, tyres, tubes included. £150 including postage.
or
Ritchey Pro DS Wheels. Probably 2007. Not dome many miles, possibly 500. Black. Include Richey tyres of no real special value, tubes and cassette, again probably only 105 standard. £120 delivered.

To be used on a bicycle that will do commuting duties of about 20 miles per day, five days a week, short quick training rides and long weekend rides and sportives.

Arrghh! I've lost the ability to make a descision and I don't really know that much about road wheels.

Many thanks for any help.

Steve

+1 the RS20s. Not worth going second hand.

    Hi Steve

I don't know whether this would interest you but I have a pair of brand new (unused) fulcrum racing 5's for sale. I have just bought a Wilier Izoard and replaced the 5's it arrived with for my Campag Eurus Wheels hence the sale.

They have a campag freehub and I'm selling them with the unused Vittoria Rubino tyres and tubes for £120 plus postage. I think the wheels alone retail for £150ish.

Let me know if you are interested as I'm ebaying them on Monday. You can call me on 07920770199 if u like as I'm not back on a computer till then.

    Cheers
    Ivan

    Hi Ivan
Thanks for the offer but I need wheels with a Shimano freehub. I'm in the odd situation where I'm stripping down a bike and selling the parts while upgrading another. Sadly, the parts I'm selling don't really go with the new frame. Life is never simple

  • Used can seem such a tempting offer. If your after a simple commuter set with the odd longer ride, then cheap is best. Its the RS20's for me...

FCN 3 or 4 on road depending on clothing
FCN 8 off road because I'm too old to go racing around.

    A good set of wheels.

    Coming in at £197.

This is the cheapest i've found them new.

So looking at the set you've been offered with tyres and tubes not a bad price.

Sorry, I didn't make that very clear did I? The Mavics are for the wheels and qr's only. Cassette , tyres and tubes are NOT included.
  • ahh well now you got another factor to decide on then, :) good luck with deciding :)
