edge 705 memory + SD card help

I've got an edge and a blank 2G SD card as i already had city navigator with an unused licence key.

I loaded maps onto the GPS and i've got a few courses + workouts etc, but everything seems to be in the Garmin memory no the SD card. Does this matter? Does it start using the Sd card once the garmin memory is full. I cant seem to find any option in the GPS to copy or move stuff to the SD card (except saved rides, but i havent got any of those yet)

When i browse the SD card i have the following folders: Garmin > GPX. Both these seem to be empty.

On the Garmin memory i have lots of folders:
Course
History
Workouts
GPX
profile

and some files not in folders:
clm.nvm
gmapbmap.img
gmapsupp.img
Gupdate.gcd
garmindevice

I'm guessing the maps is in gmapsupp.img as this is 200MB, so can i just copy this accross to the SD card? Do i need to copy any other files accross?

    Is there somewhere in the settings that allows you to set the default memory on the Edge 705?
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    pretty sure i loaded the maps from the computer to the sd card using a card reader/writer, then put it in the 705.

    sorted it :-) I hadnt realised that you could select different bits to load to on the drop down menu when you use the 'send to device' in mapsource :oops:

    Have to say the Edge 705 manual is pretty basic (even the one on the CD) i keep finding new things out with the unit just fiddling about with it. Trouble is i forget how i managed to do something about 5 mins later!
