Hello all,
Have decided (probably - working on the finances) to get a Specialized Rockhopper Pro disc (2008).
Does anyone know when the 2009 bikes are going to be released and is there an optimum time I could try to buy a 2008 model just as the 2009's are released and, in doing so, save myself a packet (as I'm assuming I could get a discounted 2008)?
Or does it not work like that?
I can wait until about the first week in September before I need to buy as I'm going on a ride that I need it for.
Any advice would be welcome.
thanking you in advance

Anytime from now until the new year with different manufactureres. And as prices are set to rise, discounts won't be as high as usual.0

The 2009 Spesh bikes are starting to come out now. To be honest though, the way prices are rising this year, I wouldn't bank on getting much of a discount if any at all. In fact you may find yourself in a situation where all the 2008 bikes sell out and you then end up having to pay more for a 2009 bike
Personally I would just get the bike as soon as you have the funds available although if you are keen on getting yourself a bargain just check the availability, of the specific bike you are after, in some of the online bike shops. This will give you a feel for the stock levels. (Look for sites that actually tell you whether they have the bike in stock or not)

There are discounts already on some brands. You might not have much joy with a popular brand like Spesh though - and probably their most popular bike too.
If you could be more flexible you might have more dosh.0
