Not sure who was more worried, me or the driver (could see his frantic reaction in his mirrors)
+1 For that, it's pretty much my worst nightmare, I usually pause and assess the situation before filtering between any two large vehicles articulated or not.
Another scary one is filtering down the side of anything big, like a bus, where there are railings on the pavement. I've been in some scrapes there and learnt from my mistakes...
However, it's also the lack of indicating by people which sometimes gets me in a pickle - buses on oxford circus which think everyone knows they're turning left, for example. Maybe they think it's important to maintain the element of surprise...0 -

Take a chill pill maaaaaaannnnnnn
snooks is referring to the racing which occurs in pursuit of The Game. All of the risk behaviours which you list are expressly forbidden, on pain of forfeiture of all points and your racing license. (Also death... obviously)
The whole point of silly commuter racing is that no overt racing behaviour is allowed. Racing only takes place on the open road, not at junctions nor while filtering, all the usual conventions of safe road use must be observed. It is a mano a mano (or womano) test of power, speed and control rather than a free-for-all Cannonball Run type thing.
(Goes to cabinet to find chill pills...)Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of a bike ride.
