Superglue for nicks in tyres - inflated or not?
I use superglue to patch up the many small nicks & holes my clichers get.
I currently put on the glue at with the tyres at low pressure, wait to dry and then inflate fully but would I get better adhesion applying the glue with the tyres fully inflated?

surely rubber cement would work better, and apply at high pressure then deflate after application to allow better contact.0

it works but only temporarily, for medium size cuts anyway. I find that it holds for a week, then the pressure (on road clinchers at 100psi) forces the cut open. This is even when fitting a boot behind the cut.0

i apply the glue when the tyres deflated, i then pinch it closed fo a minute or two to let it set a bit before inflating it. when its properly set i use a fine sand paper to remove any excess on the tyre surface.pm0

Like portuguese mike I do it fully deflated then pinch the edges together. It just doesn't stick otherwise. It doesn't last long though, the cuts always opening back up again after a while, and rubber cement just isn't strong enough. I've been recommended wetsuit repair glue. It's as strong as superglue, but dries soft and pliable so doesn't come apart as the tyre moves around. Not tried it yet but it's on my shopping list.0
