The Scott American Beef team have been blocked from rider the Vuelta. Is this because ASO is taking over the reigns soon?

Certainly the team has done little to change its ways. No change of staff, no screening programes. These things don't come in overnight but you could at least sign a contract with Damsgaard. The savings from Ricco's salary alone would fund the scheme.

According to cyclingnews "The squad......has a reputation"

Liquigas have been allowed in the Vuelta, despite a positive in the TdF, last years team leader was a client of Ali the Chemist and was banned at the end of the season plus they have signed Basso. (They do have an anti-doping programme but it appears to be internal.)

More likely that the Vuelta doesn't want it's stages blocked by angry farmers protesting against American Beef.

shame that could have been one of the few highlights in what will likely be a very boring race.

Unlikely, seeing as the Vuelta holds its stages during siesta time :wink:Protesta? Eh... mañana

If they had immeadiately hired Daamsgard does anyone here really think ASO would have acted differently? Astana actually fired management, almost all the riders and implemented internal testing that sends everything to the UCI/WADA before their own internal program even receives the data and they still weren't allowed to ride the TDF.
