Valverde
Rule No.10 // It never gets easier, you just go faster0 -
I think it will be between Bettini+Valverde but going for an outside bet for a medal
My pick is KolobnevHow son yee divent need gaan doon the Pit,coz thas plenty coal in the coal hoose0 -
OK, I'm ready to make my pick. Here's how I see it:
The strongest teams are Valverde's, Bettini's and Menchov's (the Luxembourgers are strong but only have 3 guys). I think Valverde's is the strongest overall but I'm not 100% certain that Contador and Sastre are going to be the best domestiques in helping Valverde -- it's been a long while since those guys held that role. Bettini's getting old but he knows this is his last chance. I think that when the final breaks come in it's going to be....
Gesink. Just kidding.

An on the spot report for you. The smog is bad here, but you don't really think about it in the day as the humidiity is off the scale. You don't really notice the smog until later on. And it's like being permenantly stuck behind bus at traffic lights.
Whoever wins tomorrow will really deserve it.Twitter: @RichN950 -

I'm hoping Bettini takes it but I think Kimberly is the man. Either him or a surprise like VDV or Levi.
PS - Rich, that's not smog. The chinese authorities have assured me. It's pretty normal to be able to see the air.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Valverde cracks under the pressure,
and the Spanish team blows.......
Not likely, but I'll go for, hmm..

well done..."If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -
Well, I think it's safe to say the Olympic RR caught most of us by surprise. We were all looking at the wrong Spaniard.
Well done to campagchris...
