Grease for bb

Hi all, Will be replacing my bottom bracket at the weekend. ANy good recommendations for which grease to use.

    If it's a cartridge bottom bracket you won't need grease (except a little copper grease on the cup threads). Old BB out, new one in, bish bash wallop jobs a good 'un.

    Obviously if its a cup-and-cone type (which is highly unlikely these days) then you will need a reasonable bearing grease - try Silkolene RS2. It's bright red too. Which is nice.

  • Yeah its a shimano square tapered bb. Sealed cartridge. Just the threads it is.

    Tend to use Finish Line Synthetic grease for everything, one day I'll get around to buying some copper grease for thread greasing duties (in the mean time the synthetic grease is better than a dry fit).
    It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
