Differences between Shimano and Campag brake cables - if any

I need new brake cables, I have these levers:

If I look in online shops, such as Wiggle, they say Shimano cable or Campag cable.

Are there any differences on the little "knob" on the end or is a road cable a road cable?

    I've only ever known two types, one for drop bar levers and one for flat bar levers. Always willing to be corrected though.

    Campag and shimano brake cables are incompatible. You can interchange the gear cables but not the brake cables. The nipples are different sizes. Your levers will require shimano road cables.

    Oh, and I recommend the Transfil cables from Wiggle, I think they are excellent.
