When I get my new bike I'm going to get it insured, so I have been having a look at a few companies online but they say that, when at the home, the bike must be securely locked INSIDE your house. For me this isn't possible cos I live in a flat and it has to be locked outside my front door.

Anyone else have this problem before and found a company that has a policy that fits? Or anyone recommend a decent company to check out?

why can't you keep it in your flat?

I have four in mine currently and it is tiny, there is always a way...

If was up to me I would keep my bikes inside the flat. Unfortunatley, the Wife Acceptance Factor (WAF) is very low.

This is similar situation to mine, although GAF and not WAF. Our flat isn't very big so two bikes just wouldn't fit.

    CEE are your bikes insured?

Give her the ultimatum that they either live inside or she buys you a new one if it gets nicked?

I'd ring around insurance companies to see where you stand on this. Its not likely to be available online and will need to speak to them direct. Would you be able to put a floor anchor down? If you tell them its inside the building and secured to the floor they may cover you?
