Look in the USA is recalling steel-axled Keo pedals manufactured prior to 2006 due to axle breakages.

Does anyone know if similar action is being taken in the UK or other countries?

don't know but I snapped an axel clean through day before the Marmotte, havn't warrantied them yet, but yes an issue!
