Front forks, fettling and handling issues

I have recently upgraded my Marin Nail Trail (HT) with some Marzzochi XC 700 (2008) front forks. While riding familiar trails I've noticed that my front wheel wants to tuck under me on tight turns that were never a problem before.
I'm pretty sure that I have fettled with the sag / rebound etc til it feels right, but have i missed something in setting them up to cause this?

What forks and travel were on before, and what travel and sag now?0

Marzzochi MX pro, 4" travel as standard with the bike from new. These new ones are adjustable from 4 to 6, I'm riding them bewteen the 4 and 5" so far as I can tell.0

The tuck under is usually experienced when the forks are shorter than before when turning (steeper head angle). So either the fork has a longer crown to axle measurement, or the rebound is too slow, so they keep low in turns when compressed (say from a bump or braking). I'd experiment a bit more - try 5 inches of travel and a rouch less rebound.0

do the bars feel as if they want to flop over? if so it is a symptom of running slightly longer forks, just something you need to get used to.0
