i was out training last night and as i took a corner my saddle moved about a 10mm. Following that i pulled over and tightened it up.

10 minutes later it did it again. So, tonight i cleaned up my seat pin and clamp and put in back into the bike - tightened up the clamp. tried to move the seat ! bingo it moved. I really tightened up the clamp - practically bending the screw and still the clamp and seat post moved together. I am a little worried that there might be issues with my top tube.

my bike is 18months old - carbon kuato ksano - less than 2k miles. anybody had a similar problem

thanks cliffey

Why is the clamp moving with the seat post ?
It sounds obvious but the clamp should grip around the top of the seat tube and compress it to grip the post. It should not contact the post at all.
Sounds like the clamp is gripping the post before it grips the seat tube.
    Get another clamp :?:
