Hello all,
please help me.
I want to buy a SRAM X.7 Front Derailleur for my 2007 Commencal Meta 5.5.3
but which one do I buy?????
28.6/31.8/34.9 Dual Pull
31.8/34.9 Dual Pull
34.9 Dual Pull
I feel stupid for asking, but I dont even know what the difference is?
Sorry im rather new at all this.
EDIT: oh and I assume i need Conventional 9sp and not Top Swing Dual? Because my gear cable come down the bottom of the down tube???? is this correct???

Pull and swing are two different things. Pull is about the cable direction, and as is dual pull, you'll have no probs. Swing is where the seat tube clamp is in relation to the derailer cage.
Top swing:
Bottom swing:
So depends on your frame ie is there just a stub to mount in on, bottle bosses in the way? The number is the seat tube diamter. Compare to old mech (size usually written on it)0 -
Ok then its deffo a bottom swing, but i cant find any numbers to say the diameter. If i buy the one marked 28.6/31.8/34.9 I guess that will fit all?

Yeah, they often come 'multiband' band now, so you just move spacers around to fit. So I think you are on the right track!0 -
