found this little interesting video on the web :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsCbgwcTRNY
Caption explanations:
1. Toilet paper on....
2. Put generous amount of oil
3. Wipe off excess oil and take off the toilet paper and it's all done
looks like a quick way to do it

Just remember, keep those fingers clear of the drivetrain.

I bet you end up with annoying little bits of toilet paper stuck in the chain..
nyway, i was always taught to put the oil on the inside of the chain, then spin the drivetrain so that the oil migrates into the rollers..
Never hurts to be reminded about the dangers of fixies in workstands - you do get blasé after a while..0 -
You could put the bike on a stand and lube the inside of the chain. The paper is there to stop the gunk running down the chainset. It looks like he wraps the paper a couple of times.
Of course there will now be a thread on which toilet paper to use - Andrex,Charmin, Aldi etc and then Shimano will bring out their own brand but marketed as Dura-Ace lube tissue or some other b****x but there will be Campag users who wouldn't even use S*****o toilet paper for their bottomsM.Rushton0 -

Didn't see this bit on the video... the tricky bit methinks.0 -
Surely only the finest vellum or oriental silk for the Rapha bottom. Of course Hubjub will sell the NJS paper and On-One will bring out a cheaperversion of it. Audax users will want to 'recycle' their paper.M.Rushton0

My technique for a quick clean is just a bit of kitchen paper wrapped around the chain soaked in degreaser (I just used a tesco brand kitchen cleaner tbh but it did the job really well - and the bike smells of limes afterwards )0
