Hi,
wondering if anyone has tried applying sealant following a puntcure through a valve extender used with deep section rims? The hole in th end of the extender looks a fraction of the size of the valve stem once the core is removed, can enough sealant get through etc.
Luckily I have no puctures yet!

cheers

never tried, but I put the sealant in the tube before fitting, and ride with it already in the tube. This way it seals the puncture without too much air loss, and allows you to continue riding without stopping.

    Hi
I went (probably a mistake) for the 'extreme sealant' which can only be added in the event of a puncture. Tufo calim it vulcanises if left in the tub for very long.

just had a look on the tufo site. Never seen the extreme version before. TriUk only sell the regular stuff, and the owner said he always used it in the tubes, and advised me to do the same. I must say it does actually work, but I don't ride tubs that often.

If you have the extensions that screw on once you remove the core from the tub, and fit the extension, providing you can remove the core from the extension, then I see no reason why it can't be used afterwards, but the sealant, won't go past the valve core. I tried this before knowing about the removable core.
