Is it possible to convert a quill stem steerer to A head?

Hi All,

I know you can buy the A head converter that is basically a quill post that you can put A head stems on, but is there another way of doing it that looks neater?

Cheers,

new headset and forks that's neater, but not cheap.

The main issue is the steerer length, because the quill headsets only need the steerer to be as long as the headtube and headset whereas a-headsets need it to go to the top of the stem.

If you have a particularly fat headset you might get away with just fitting a very low profile headset, but I'd say that is extremely unlikely

I'd stick with a standard quill stem, adding a converter and an a-head stem is a bit hefty and has both the flaws of both systems combined.
