Due to injury and other personal problems, I have now just started to ride again after over a 4 year gap. I previously had 2 bikes, one I used as a commuter bike (Basso) and the other, a lighter, dry weather/weekend bike (Specialized Allez Comp). Both bikes have been stood idol in a shed for over 4 years! I have now fully restored them and they feel as good as new to ride. They may be old, but the Specialized Allez in particular, has really brought back the bike buzz for me.

Here are the specs of my old bikes...

Commuter:

Basso Champion Alloy Frame
Shimano 9sp Ultegra Shifters
Shimano 105 rear mech
Campag Centaur Front Mech
Shimano Ultegra Front/Rear Brakes
Campag Centaur Chainset
Shimano WR540 Wheels
Shimano 105 Pedals

Best Bike:

Specialized Allez Comp (Cippo Zebra, lol)
Dura Ace 9 Rear Mech & Brakes
Ultegra 9 Front Mech + Chainset
Dura Ace Cassette
Mavic SSC SL wheels
Fizik Arione Seat
Shimano Ultegra Pedals
Michelin Pro Race Tyres

Welcome back to the fold! Have the legs still got it?!

Nice bikes - I like the look of Basso bikes generally. There was one I passed on my way home tonight, kind of similar to yours but silver.

I like Specialized bikes, they are great bang for buck, I just wish they would come up with some sexier paint jobs.
