Cannondale Chainset Double to Compact?
Is it possible to change from a Cannondale Carbon Si Double Chainset to a Compact?
Do Cannondale do one? Are there compatability issues? Are they pricey?
The bike is fitted with:
> Crank Cannondale Carbon Si (39/53)
> Bottom Bracket Cannondale Si
> Front Derailleur SRAM Force
> Rear Derailleur SRAM Force Carbon
> Shifters SRAM Force Carbon
Thanks.

chainreaction had some a while back but they seem to have sold them off.
check the usual suspects - parkers, ribble, sjs, probikekit, ebay etc. and you might be lucky. If not, it might be a states purchase.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -
I've just changed a Shimano one and it was easy to do and cost £120. I must say that once I've done this week on the hills I'll quickly be changing back to 39-53 as the compact gives too big a gap for me.0

You've got two choices :
1. Hunt down a Cannondale Si compact - rare and pricy
2. Buy the Cannondale widget to convert your Si bottom bracket to regular size - probably a direct order from Cannondale and a permanant decision.0 -
Have a look at FSA as they are doing some compact cranksets that suit a BB30:

By the looks of it they sell the adaptor as well. But as someone else has already mentioned this is a permanent change for a 'Dale carbon frame (or so the instructions say ).0 -
primera changed my hollowgram si2 chainset from standard to a compact. i got a new set of fsa chainrings an they had to get a tool from cannondale to do the work.0
