They've got Dural and the higher level Zircal chainrings.

Are the Zircal ones worth the premium over the Dural ones?

Somehow I've managed to slightly bend the large chainring meaning it's impossible to not get the chain to rub on the front mech.

firstly you can bend your chainring straight again

secondly zicral are much nicer to look at and are stronger in my opinion
that said normally I buy dural because they are cheaper.

I'd rather not bend it straight again - I don't trust the quality of these Campag rings.

Any idea how the Dural chainrings compare qualitywise with the chainrings on Centaur carbon chainsets? The campag rings on it seem very poor quality to older Campag chainrings I have.

Hi I have a Stronglight Impact chainset on a tandem. We bent all three rings on our last tour. The two larger ones could have been from changing down under power, but the small one?

The Impact has Dural rings. They are usually ok though. The Centaur chainset the OP is referring to probably has the stamped ED rings. You could buy an alloy Centaur from 06 and rob the UD rings from it. I have 5000miles + on my UD rings so far. They are pretty good. I'm sure I'll enjoy finding grey anodised rings though!

I actually got an 06 Centaur double rather cheap recently, and it was my plan to get another and take the rings off it, but they all seem to be 135mm rather than the 110mm BCD I need for my Centaur Compact.

Ahh bollocks Campag have put a ghey mixed BCD on the chainrings 4 x 110mm and 1 x 113mm.

    How pissed off am I.

It wouldn't have been so bad if they actually said the BCD was messed up in the manual or on the chainrings themselves. No mention whatsoever.

I'll be sticking to standard cranksets from now on.

Red,not only the PCD is different..!! the bolt position behind the crankarm is at a different level/height from the other four!!,luckily I have access to a machine shop and I was able to modify the rings to fit but what a pain.
The next chainset I buy will be something other than Campag.
