Fine-Tuning the Rear Dérailleur
Hi Gang
I've spent the past hour-or-so fine-tuning my rear dérailleur as the shifting has been a bit sluggish lately.
Now, I've got to a point where it's shifting sweetly - nice and fast with a real solid feel.
Only thing is that it sounds quite loud. It doesn't have that 'trying-to-shift-up' rattle, but it's making a noticeable noise.
Is that normal? Is a dead quiet drivetrain the impossible dream or do I need to keep tweaking?
Btw, I'm using a 105 groupset and the chain's recently been cleaned and re-oiled...

If it's well lubed and shifting nicely, sounds like it could be that the rear mech is slightly bent....? Are the jockey wheels vertically in line with each other??"Bite off more than you can chew, and chew like hell!!"0

is the chain the correct length for all combinations ? is the noise the same in every position of the cassette and both chainrings?
Maybe check chain alignment with the chain in centre of cassette0
