I move around alot, because i live near preston, my GF is from Cardiff and i go to uni in London.
I'm just looking for places to ride around these areas as i've only really rode on grizedale north face.
I've herd about delamere which isn't too far but i'm not sure whats there....
i'm looking for more xc/trail rides with decent climbs and decents.
So bascally i'm looking for good routes in
1) Pennines/Lake distrikt
2) South Wales
3) London area... My uni is in Twickenham
Also, i want to do i big ride for my 22nd birthday in September but i'm not sure where i wanna go. i was thinking Snowdon but i'm not sure if itll be open to MTB's/ if you can actully ride up + down....so are there any more big rides like that that any1 knows of?
Taa for any help

Not sure about down south, but Preston's not too far from the Yorkshire Dales, there's hundreds of good xc routes round there. There are loads of books and websites with routes, but Settle or Malham is a good place to start, probably 1&1/4 hours from Preston.0

If you are on the way down to London from the north there is aston hill (M1 J11) and Woburn (M1 J13) which are on the way.My Website - Trail Centre info for the UK: MTB Trail Time0

The area around Burnley/Todmorden/Hebden Bridge is riddled with trails and provides some fantastic riding. I should know, I live there!
From Preston, take the train for Leeds - it'll pass through Burnley (Manchester Road) then on to Todmorden, right in the thick of it!0 -

if you are going to use your railcard and use the train get up to scotland for a couple of days, i am going to glentress tomorrow and by the look of the vids it is going to be a good day, scotland was voted best place in europe (i think) for two years running, whatever floats your boat, scotlands got it world class, check out kirroughtree for xc, glentress for everything and fort william for xc and dh
