Good slicks

I have a Carrera Kraken and am looking for a full slick tyre for road and cycle trail use.
I currently have continental double fighter 2's (26 x 1.9's) fitted front and rear which I believe are semi-slicks, but I'm looking for something faster and with better puncture protection if poss, as I have already had a puncture only having used them for four months, also at the weekend, someone commented that they looked worn, ( I only ride once or twice a week for an hour or so!
I have searched the forum as far as possible and Michelin's Krylion's seem to be reccoemneded, are these a good choice?
Thanks in advance.

Schwalbe Marathons/ Marathon Plus. Search on here for them, highly recommended by the commuters. In one case 5k+ miles without meeting the 'P' fairy.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

I can strongly reccomend the Conti TravelContact tyres. Ive been running mine since the beggining of the year without a single problem. They are plenty fast, have the kevlar puncture protection and some small nobbly's round the edge for light trail riding.
Plus if you DO get a puncture in the first year, you are guaranteed a new tyre and tube for free.0 -
Conto sport contact is better than the Trave Contact if you want a full slick - same puncture guarantee."Melancholy is incompatible with bicycling." ~James E. Starrs0

Another good slick is MICHELIN COUNTRY ROCK (26* 1,75)!!0

I have the travel contact which is still classed as a semi slick I think. I got mine for free so didn't really look into others. Never had a puncture with them and the guy who gave them to me had been using them for a fair while as well. If I was buying, and it was purely for road I'd go for the sport contact out of them.0
