Hi people
Just sold my Giant SCR 1.0 road bike and I'm now in the market for a Hard tail or jump/dirt bike.
Budget circa £600 - £700, Using it for mainly riding out with the family, my eldest son is 12 and into Dirt/park jumping - just need to show him how it's done
So hard tail? or DJ bike? is there a huge difference?
Any input will be appreciated..
Thanks

Well it depends what sort of hardtail you would want, for XC you wouldn't want to be jumping on that, but maybe a hardcore hardtail would be good for the things you want. Take a look at the Orange Crush. Its a bit out of your price range at £1000 but something similar to that should suit you.Giant XTC 2.5 '08

Thanks for the reply.
I've had a little look around today and this DMR Sidekick has caught my attention

The description says it's pretty fast too, so I'm hoping it's a pretty good compromise between a dedicated single speed jump bike and a fast XC bike.
Just a little worried on sizing, are they all the same? I'm 5ft 11 and don't want to look like I've just borrowed my sons bike!

Ok guys, found a few more possible candidates.
Flow Moe http://www.awcycles.co.uk/brands/Flow/M ... cification
Cannondale Chase 2.0 2007 http://www.evanscycles.com/products/can ... e-ec014997
Or the DMR Sidekick2 http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/produ ... _Bike_2007
I'd appreciate it if the regular MTB gurus could have a quick look and give me there honest opinions
Thanks

I know technically this is the right forum but perhaps ask in the "jumping" section.0
