Bike matching Jersey.

When I finally save up enough money - I am going to buy the bike of my dreams, the beautiful Bianchi in my sig ( ). However, I was also planning on getting this jersey or something similar:

storebianchiwww.bianchi.com63842F400x380.jpg

I love the jersey and the bike, however I'm wondering if i'd look a little silly as it would all be nearly the same colour, even though it is so beautiful.
( ).

This probably sounds like such a lame question/asking for advice, but I was wondering what peoples opinions on this is?

Quite right. Go for it. It's a great colour, and they build great bikes as well. Here's mine.BikeCollection005.jpg

If it's any consolation - if you look silly then so will I

I have a 928 C2C, which although is mostly carbon, the detailing, saddle and bar tape are Celeste.

I have bought one of the ss jerseys from Probikekit and it is really nice - I preferred the look of it over the one you have shown - but that is personal taste. I don't think I will go as far as buying the bib shorts as well though.

Interestingly, when I first bought my bike I took it round to show a female friend. After the initial compliments about the bike, one of the first things she said was that my blue top and helmet didn't match the bike and that I would have to buy stuff that matched

    So I did :D:D

Also contemplating whether to go for a Giro Monza helmet in celeste and white or just a plain white or silver one. What a tart eh!!!

    Gary.
Oh and I feel like I've been raped by an Orangutan  And I've got legs like Girders

I think it depends to some extent on what you look like and how fast you ride - my belly, combined with my sloth-like pace, would make me look pretty silly!

    '09 Enigma Eclipse with SRAM.
'10 Tifosi CK7 Audax Classic with assorted bits for the wet weather
'08 Boardman Hybrid Comp for the very wet weather.

While the credit card is out what about a pair of these expensive boots for your bike?

This could be a great social experiment - Can a bike forum bankrupt Bianchi Boy through showing him extra purchases in Celeste?

    Adieu,
When you start seriously looking for your new Bianchi, I would recommend a trip over to Fred Williams Cycles in Wolverhampton. They usually have a good selection in and are incredibly helpful.

Another dealer close to you is Ride in Holbrook Lane, Coventry. They didn't have many of the top end Bianchi bikes when I called in there - but had some really good deals on (last years?) Via Nirones etc.

Believe me, I did my research when I bought mine, and have probably been in to every Bianchi dealer within a 100 mile radius of Birmingham!

    Gary.

Go for it. I have lycra that matches my Pinarello Prince, I also have Pinarello Prince branded shorts, jersey and gloves. Considering the overshoes as well and just ordered a pair of Pinarello MOST branded bidon cages... so I says go for it, it's your money!

I've got a pair of those Hudz (in white) as well. Lovely bits of kit.

You can't be having colour clashes!

My main bike is grey/red and then the fixie is red so everything is compatible - I've even got a grey/red bar bag and grey/red rucksack. It's not all that coordinated though, the courier bag is red/yellow/brown with a picture of a cow :D

Got my hudz the other day (can't find my original thread sorry!), they are awesome and very comfortable.

Am still resisting the kit though, but on the owners site they have leisurewear as well... a pair of Bianchi combats is proving more difficult to resist!!!

How about this jersey, very retro, seen in the window of Evans cycles in Bristol

I have the retro bianchi top above, and recently bought the celeste monza helmet.

Completely agree - much more comfy than the standard Campag, and the grey looks good with my Ti frame and silver carbon bar tape! 8)

IMO kit should match - I don't know if Omega ever did kit but if they did I'd have it, as long as it didn't clash with the bleck red & white of my Fulcrums and my forks! As it is I wear Campag shorts and have a few Castelli tops in black, red & white!

Tart, me? Naaaah!

Club Kit! - Wear your own club kit!

There's so much nasty club kit about though - what if you're in a club with really naff designs?

Nah - join a club, organise/marshal a ride/race - put something back into your sport.
