It was my birthday yesterday. We're having some friends round for a meal this evening, and my girlfriend has spent all week working on a novelty cake for me. She finally finished it last night, so she unveiled it to me.

It's a Tour de France themed cake, and it looks fantastic. I haven't got any pictures yet, but I'll post one up this evening. It's taken her all week to make, and it made my day :D

If it looks good it'll be a shame to ruin it by cutting it up. Don't forget to save some for the Bike Radar folks
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Apparently Mario Cipollini used to get sent TdF-themed birthday cakes. They must've been very rich and filling, as he never managed to finish any of them....

Look what my cycling mates made me for my 40th last year (8 weeks after breaking my collarbone)

It looks like a pretty accurate representation of the Col De La Bonette before the use of the Cime de la Bonnette. Well done that lady.

    Very nice.

    Particularly like...
    - The Quickstop Jersey,
    - Sven Krauss' Gerolsteiner bike from Stage13?

I'm sure that's exactly the look she had in mind.

She did consider having "ETA ETA ETA" and a giant c*ck and balls as the grafitti, but thought my Mum night not get it
