Hi,

Thinking of getting some of these as the reviews have been good and the price has come down. Need to know if anyone has had problems with them. Also the description says they are compatible with Campag and HG drivetrain's. Does this mean they take both types of cassette?

I have a pair, they're great. No issues so far. The freehub is only compatible with Campagnolo cassettes, and you should be aware that Campag freehubs sound like a box of angry wasps heard through an amplifier which is turned up to 11. Basically, they're loud.

ok. thanks for that. I don't mind the noise. I have a set of hope wheels on my MTB, so I'm used to causing public order offences when JRA!

Depends which Hopes you have. They're louder than XCs, Monos, Bulbs etc, and probably slightly louder than Pro 2s.

Have 2500 miles on mine-mostly in the winter. Only problem has been with front wheel nipples unscrewing and dropping into the rims. Happened 3 X with different spokes. Finally put locktite on the offending nipples and haven't had additional problems. Remarkably, the wheel stays pretty true even with a spoke that doesn't have any tension on it.

Good wheels although not the lightest out there.

Nightmare trying to get brand new Vittoria Rubino Pro tyres fitted on them (and even after a couple of months when punctures hit on the road).

There may be some better tyre/wheel combinations for these wheels.
