What is the deal with Cycling Fans

At the start of this TdF i felt sorry for Cavendish after a couple of bad interviews alot of people started slagging him off. Cadel copped it in the next two weeks of the tour. What is the deal, atleast these guys arent like the F1 drivers or some of thse Moto gp boys who have the media minders at there right shoulder making saw the thank the sponsors and the team and all that jazz. Keep the characters please.
Take care of the luxuries and the necessites will take care of themselves.

    F1 fans are just as bad though. They spend the whole time bitching about the lack of characters, and as soon as a driver starts to act like a normal human being everyone says he's arrogant or a moron.

    If you thought Cav was getting some stick, you should see the stick that Hamilton gets from F1 fans even though he's winning races.
