Hey, guess what, the cycling season doesn't end in July. The Clásica San Sebastian is this Saturday and there are 50 PTP points on offer for anyone who picks the winner.

The race doesn't seem to be on Eurosport at all, but it looks like cycling.tv have it live from 1pm.

Participantes:

http://clasica-san-sebastian.diariovasc ... icipantes/

(Gee, it's nice to know Saunier Duval's self-imposed exile lasted all of two weeks.)

Palmarés:

2007 BERTAGNOLLI Leonardo
2006 FLORENCIO CABRE Xavier
2005 ZABALLA GUTIERREZ Constantino
2004 MARTIN PERDIGUERO Miguel Angel
2003 BETTINI Paolo
2002 JALABERT Laurent
2001 JALABERT Laurent
2000 DEKKER Erik
1999 CASAGRANDE Francesco
1998 CASAGRANDE Francesco

Route info:

Good luck... and judging by some of the riders who've won in recent years, we'll need it.

    Kolobnev.

He wants a piece of Bjarne's attention.

Why not? It's like the cycling version of the Grand National, stick a pin and you get the winner.

not fair thats my pick dammit :P i made that decision after carefully studying the placings for the last 9 years and noticed he appeared in the top 15 no less than 7 times during this time including 2 podium placings oh and ofcourse a victory way back in 1997

Im not aiming to pick the winner im aiming to score some points and he seems a good bet to finish top 10.. it is the top 10 which score points right ?

    My Pick: Davide Rebellin

I picked him for his track record. He is one of the only ones on the list that has a qualified chance of winning. It usually all goes out the window in San Sebastian, and it's just the luckiest rider that wins.

Naughty Eurosport! It's a great race to watch.

Bettini has at last begun winning races again, so maybe he's a good bet as the course suits climber-sprinter types.

Sammy , sorry, Samuel Sanchez. He was just coming to the boil at the end of the Tour!
    Thanks! :)

I spose all the Eurosport lot have done their washing and are packing their bags again to go to Beijing! They could have done a couple of hours for us couldn't they?
