Another wheel question.......

I weigh about 15 stone (ish), I have wheels with 20 elbow less spokes on the rear and 16 on the front (they are Shimano 105 wh-5600). I have had these now for a couple of weeks and have no problem with them, they seem quite solid. I am being told they are not suitable for my weight and my style of riding, I generally do longish 60-70 recreational and charity rides. I have searched the net but haven't been able to find out if this is correct.

Although I have no problems thus far with the wheels I am now getting a bit concerened that they will suddenly fail.

Has anyone got any comments?

P.s They are lovely wheels!

Who's told you they ain't suitable? A shop who want's to sell you some new wheels perhaps?

In the grand scale of things 15st isn't that heavy and the wheels should be fine.

Unless you're getting wheel flex and brake rub (or the wheels have disintegrated), I'd keep with what you've got...

LBS and some fellow riders. They appear alright so far so I'll just stick with them Thanks guys.
